Reem Hamad Al-Kuthairi

Reem Al-Kuthairi loves all things flying, and is a pioneer of women's aviation in her country. She was the first female in the middle east and the only female Qatari to obtain a microlight license NPPL (national private license), which she passed in the UK in 2014. As of July 2021, she is also Qatar's first qualified female paraglider pilot. Reem flies all kinds of ultralight aircraft, including ski-launched weightshift microlights which she flies in the French Alps every winter. she also flies fixed-wing aircraft and gyrocopters. She took her APPI PPG licence with Skymasters flying club in Qatar In 2020 and quickly built up her hours and skills. A physical education and sports science degree graduate, Reem works in sport and fitness. She is a former Qatari national handball player but her future plans revolve around air sports. She hopes to continue to discover new places around the world where she can represent her country in air sports. Reem has been in newspapers, on TV and in social media as an influencer to the community female in particular. She is currently working on two documentary projects.
