Bene Bös has won the 2021 Paramotor World XContest, foot-launch category (RPF), flying Luna 2s. His longest flight was a 353km FAI triangle flight in February.
Each pilot's six best flights count towards the classifications, and Bene's were all FAI triangles, all big – the smallest was 138km! Check the link below to view Bene's six flights on XContest.

"After I started to increase my flight distances at the end of 2020, I was able to implement many ideas and techniques in 2021 to improve my personal bests even more. The longest distance flight was a 353km FAI triangle in 6:08h and the longest time flight was 7h (309 km FAI triangle).
I used the BGD Luna2 in sizes 20, 23 and 26, an excellent relaxed, safe intermediate glider, as well as the FlyProducts Rider Moster185 and the light Eclipse frame with the Vittorazi Atom80. I think these flights are a great way to prove the performance and reliability of my equipment.
Mostly I take off early in the morning on a wet field without wind. Take-off for long XC flights is always more difficult, as you often have no wind and a lot of extra weight with you. But the Luna 2 offers not only an easy inflation and lifty take-off, it’s also a great mix of efficiency, speed, safety and stability. Many pilots think they need a spicy comp wing but I have a different theory and was able to show that it works.
In my opinion it’s really important that the pilots fly wings where they feel comfortable and safe. Long XC's are more challenging than many think, you always need to make sure to keep on your track, check weather conditions, airspaces…. When the Thermals kick in, you still need to keep an eye on all these factors. With a wing like the Luna 2 I don’t need too much of my concentration for the wing as it’s easy to handle in thermal conditions. The wing is very stable and you basically only need to make sure to stay on your perfect line.
But what pleases me the most is that in 2021 many new pilots have already participated in the XContest. I hope to motivate even more pilots to fly cross-country this year."
