Description

Plug in, power up, and get ready to roll. The ICON is a brand-new freestyle paramotor wing for advanced and expert pilots who want pure energy in the sky. With a flat aspect ratio of 5.7, 57 cells, and shorter lines than anything in its class, the ICON doesn’t just turn – it spins, rocks, and rolls.

This is not an XC cruiser. The ICON is your joystick in the clouds, made for freestyle flying, dynamic carving, and all-out fun. It launches effortlessly with trimmers set between 0–2, then opens up into a wild ride with a reflex profile, roller-cam trimmers (12cm range) and 2D steering for ultimate control. Trimmers out with full bar? Yes. Brakes usable at every setting? Absolutely.

A careful mix of materials mean its lightweight (from 3.8kg) and durable. The ICON is tuned for lasting agile play. Fast reactions, tight energy and rock-steady stability at speed make it the ultimate freestyle glider – a wing that begs to be pushed, flipped, and flown loud.

Spécificités techniques

Simulé avec ALULA

Le futur de la conception des voiles dépend largement des simulations. Grâce à notre logiciel propriétaire de simulations aéro-structurelles nous sommes maintenant à même de simuler avec précision des centaines de voiles au lieu de concevoir et de produire nos prototypes un par un. Notre programme nous permet ainsi tester des prototypes virtuels. Pour nos nouvelles voiles nous créons ainsi plus de 200 prototypes virtuels. Analyser leur comportement requiert plus de 50 millions d'itérations des calculs aéro-structurels.

Cord Cut Billow (CCB)

Découpe spéciale des panneaux de bord d’attaque: la technologie « Cord Cut Billow » a été développée pour améliorer l’état de surface, la stabilité, et plus généralement les performances de nos voiles. Pour cela les panneaux d’extrados du bord d’attaque sont réalisés avec deux découpes le long de la corde (CCB), afin d’assurer un développement de surface optimisé des cellules. Le long du profil, jusqu´à dix centimètres de tissu excédentaire sont créés par l’effet de boudinage. Cet excédent de matière est normalement absorbé par les plis inter-cellules, alors que notre CCB en se rapprochant du développement de surface idéal ne se contente pas simplement de minimiser ce défaut. La réduction des plis contribue aussi à une meilleure mise en forme des nervures, ce qui en améliore la tenue.

Smooth Roller Cams

The trimmer have new roller-cams which are slip-free, easy and smooth to operate while reducing wear on the webbing.

Sliding Mini A-Riser

We have added a dedicated sliding mini-A-riser that has a split higher on the risers than usual, which means pilots who naturally grasp all the A's to launch will enjoy a smoothly and clean inflation without a tendency to overfly or collapse, even if the launch pull is a little over-enthusiastic!

2D Steering System

The 2D steering system gives precise control of the glider’s trailing edge. Brake and tip-steering lines connect to the handle: pulling out affects the centre, pulling in works the tips, and pulling down combines both. Adjust line lengths to match your paramotor set-up.

Poignées Hybrides convertissable en 2D.

Les commandes de frein disposent d'une boucle en caoutchouc qui réduisent le risque de perdre la poignée tout en permettant au pilote de se concentrer sur l'essentiel. Les poignées de frein disposent également d'une boucle pour le système TST de bout d'aile, convertissant le tout en un système 2D. Avec le système 2D les bouts d'aile et les freins sont contrôlés par une seule commande.
